Help Pass An Elected Civilian Complaint Review Board (ECRB)

Our current crisis has made it abundantly and unarguably clear that the NYPD “police” folks in East New York, Brownsville and other Black communities, while they “protect” those in North Brooklyn and Chelsea. The most recent incidents of imbalanced policing necessitate a logical, measured and intentional response to mitigate a problem that has regrettably been with us much longer than the present pandemic. The full measure of an Elected Civilian Review Board  (ECRB) action must be prioritized, and accelerated by the New York City Council. Click HERE to read my most recent Op-ed on this issue, published by the BK Reader: An Elected Civilian Complaint Review Board Means Justice for All.

I join the Friends of Wilfredo Florentino, as well as communities across NYC and in the 42nd Council District - East New York, New Lots, Remsen Village, Spring Creek, and Starrett City - to demand that the full measure of an Elected Civilian Review Board  (ECRB) action must be prioritized, and accelerated by the New York City Council.

We must pass an #ECRB!
