COVID-19 has hit poor communities and people of color the hardest across New York City. Some months ago, Mayor de Blasio announced a plan to deepen the City’s response to COVID-19 at NYCHA. The plan included:

- Distributing face coverings and gloves to all residents

- Enrolling all NYCHA senior buildings in the food delivery program

- Providing free tablets and internet service for 10,000 senior residents
